Research Enthusiast

I am a research enthusiast addicted to tea.
If you ever lose me somewhere, turn on a kettle and I will come running.

While I am usually buried in a library or a second hand bookstore, when I am inspired I thrive in the experimental aspect of design.
There is always something to play and mess around with, whether that be using a physical medium such as ink, or taking photographs through warped glass. Graphic design gives me the opportunity to distort static objects beyond their natural state and then put them somewhere that matters.

WORLDVIEWS

I am a nature geek.
If my parents thought that they could take me to see Hobbit houses in a hill and then expect me to not grow up wanting to live in a plant, they were thoroughly mistaken. Environmentalism and Urban design come hand in hand. I am happy to work in a plant filled office space next to an on of Auckland most future focused Architecture firms, and I often listen and speak with them over lunch about the impact of building on the environment, focusing on city areas. We have one of the most diverse ecosystems in New Zealand and we aren’t making the most of opportunities for eco-friendly design in the metropolis. I believe graphic design could play a big part in changing that, and I can’t wait to try!
